Marien van Ekeris,
Owner
Collecting started at a very young age for Marien, and trading was instilled in him at an early age. His collection began with small bird bones and skulls found in his grandparents' orchard. Later the hobby grew and the collection expanded to many skulls, skeletons, stuffed animals and ethnographics. Marien is still always looking for beautiful, rare collector's items.
Thanks to his many years of experience in this field, Marien has gained a lot of name recognition in both the Netherlands and abroad. In 2016 he officially started Preparatenshop and wants to share his passion for taxidermy, gems and ethnography with you!
Do you know those old museums with beautiful antique cabinets, glass showcases and beautiful old pieces? We see our store as a kind of museum, a kind of cabinet of curiosities where you have not seen everything after several rounds. In every corner that is and can be found. Where all items can be admired as well as for sale.
